Do you have house plans for us to choose from? And could we customize our floor plan?
A:
We do have examples of house plans we can build available in an informational packet for you. We also have a model home you are welcome to visit. Yes, you may customize your floor plan. Once you have made your lot selection then you will be ready to meet with our plan designer to discuss how you would like to customize your plans. |

How de we determine which lot is best for us to build on?
A:
Our Marketing Representative will help you. She will show you which lots are available and can help you determine what size home will best fit the lot. |

Can we use our own Mortgage Company?
A:
Yes, you may, however we recommend Beverly Aleman with First Horizon Home Mortgage. Her pricing is competitve and she offers outstanding service. |

How do we know you are a reputable and trustworthy builder.
A:
When selecting any builder, we recommend checking to see if they are a member of area home building organizations. DeGuire Properties was founded in 1990 and Derek DeGuire is a member of local, state and national home builders associations. He is also a Board member of the Certified Master Builder Corporation which requires members to adhere to strict financial, warranty and experience standards as well as references from clients and contractors. We do offer a warranty program and we pride ourselves in offering personal customer care. |

How long will it take to build a home or office?
A:
Our build time for new homes usually runs four to five months. Build times for a new professional office building usually runs around four months. Of course weather can affect the construction timeline. (see our "Construction Timeline" on our home page) |

What selections do I get to make?
A:
As a true custom builder, we allow maximum flexibility with respect to our client selections. Brick, window color, interior and exterior paints and stain, tile and carpet, wood flooring, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, wallpaper, appliances and hardware are components of your new home or office that you get to select. |

Do I get any help making selections?
A:
Yes, we have an on staff decorator to help you and we have procedures in place to make it a process you will truly enjoy. Some clients like to choose everything and some like it chosen for them. We know how busy work schedules can be so we have simplified the process to make it easier on our clients. |

What resources do I have to make sure that my home is being built according to schedule.
A:
Before we start your home, we do a pre-construction meeting with you and discuss the construction timeline process. |
